Born and raised in the lush landscapes of Hawaii, artist Tahiti Rey carries the spirit of her island home wherever she goes. In 2023, drawn by the call of family, nature, and her inner muses, she found herself nestled on Denman Island where Tahiti’s creative soul found solace and space to thrive.

Tahiti's artistic expression knows no bounds, flowing through a myriad of forms. One week she is serenading with her melodic voice on the guitar or piano. Next, she is nourishing the community with her culinary delights at her pop-up restaurants. She also playfully guides others in dance, bringing rhythm and movement to their bodies and souls.

But it was during the long shadows of the pandemic and the darkness her benevolent surrogacy journey left upon her, that Tahiti’s love for oil painting bloomed. In the quiet corners of her world and with 5 private oil painting lessons, she embraced the art form and its cathartic power. Discovering a sanctuary within the forgiving embrace of oil paints, her realism portraits unfolded. Soon after Tahiti found herself being commissioned to paint loved ones, animals, and landscapes for others. It was in these moments of creation that Tahiti realized the power of resilience, the beauty of imperfection, and the magic of transformation.
